Slap Ya Mama white pepper Cajun seasoning is packed with the punchy fragrance of white pepper, which has a sharper more tangy flavour than black pepper. It’s a little hotter than the original blend, but can be used in exactly the same way.
Sprinkle on seafood dishes, stews and even eggs. Use Slap Ya Mama white pepper Cajun seasoning to make a proper New Orleans gumbo, or use it in place of traditional salt & pepper to spice up everyday meals. It’s a fantastic seasoning for chips, and delicious on seafood.
The Slap Ya Mama story began in Ville Platte, Louisiana in 1956. Wilda Marie Fontenot Walker gave birth to Anthony – the creator of this now-famous Cajun seasoning brand. He wanted a proper Cajun seasoning that gave big flavour without being too salty. Whenever Wilda cooks with it, she receives a loving slap on the back – hence ‘Slap Ya Mama’ – and a kiss to thank her for another great Cajun meal. At least, that’s the story the Walker family told curious visitors to their deli!
