What is a Bundt cake? 

A Bundt cake is a traditional American doughnut-shaped cake. Inspired by German Bundkuchen, Bundt cakes do not have specific recipes but share common features in style. They are baked in a Bundt pan - a ring-shape with a hole in the middle and traditionally have fluted or grooved edges. A spiced cake batter is often used, but Bundt cakes are enjoyed in a range of flavours, from rich chocolate to fruity sponges. 

Hand wash with warm, soapy water. Avoid metal utensils and abrasive cleaners. Before each use, brush the tin with butter and dust with flour or cocoa.
