Loison’s chocolate and pear panettone gives the traditional festive cake a fruity, modern makeover. With a texture between bread, cake and brioche, this Italian favourite is typically served with chilled prosecco or sweet Marsala wine.
The soft, buttery dough is flavoured with dark chocolate drops, candied pears and Madagascan vanilla. The combination of juicy pears and bittersweet dark chocolate is a wonderful contrast to the rich sweetness of the dough.
Loison have been baking panettones for over 75 years. They use top quality ingredients, from fine Italian flours and sugars to the freshest eggs, butter and cream from Italy’s mountain farms. Made using the traditional sourdough process, the naturally leavened cake has a light, fluffy texture and rich, sweet taste.
