Frantoio Muraglia Grand Cru Limited Edition

Description

Frantoio Muraglia’s Grand Cru limited edition extra virgin olive oil is made from cold-pressed Coratina olives, which are slow-ripened under the Italian sun of the Agulia region. This aromatic, peppery olive oil will instantly transform any ingredient into a Mediterranean delicacy. Enjoy the complexity of flavour, served simply over roasted vegetables, as a dip for freshly baked bread or drizzled over oozy burrata cheese.

The olives in this bottle are only hand-harvested from Muraglia’s groves once they reach their full depth of flavour. The resulting oil has a medium-strong intensity with smoky undertones of fennel, pepper and hay for a fruity rich flavour. Its complex and deep notes elevate it well beyond a simple cupboard staple – it’s a crowning finishing touch, to bring your dish together.

Each bottle is uniquely numbered as the oil is only made in small batches - a very limited edition. You can keep your own piece of Italian heritage in your kitchen.

Frantoio Muraglia are passionate about olives. Watching over their company is the oldest olive tree in their grove – a majestic Coratina olive tree that is at least 450 years old and still gives fruit. They’ve been growing and pressing olives in the same way for nearly five generations of the Muraglia family, and their extra virgin olive oils have won over 16 awards in the past 10 years alone.
