Brindisa romesco sauce is a rich red pepper and almond sauce that was traditionally made by Catalan fisherman to go with their fresh fish and seafood.
Sweet ñora peppers are pureed with tomatoes, ground almonds and ground hazelnuts for a thick, almost creamy sauce. Serve alongside white fish and seafood or charred spring onions for an authentic Catalan meal.
The romesco sauce also pairs well with chicken. Spread a thick layer of the romesco on top of a chicken breast, then sprinkle with breadcrumbs and a little olive oil. Bake in the oven and serve with steamed green vegetables for an easy and flavourful Mediterranean dinner.
