Takahashi hakutake gin shiro (silver) is a light and sweet rice wine with notes of tropical fruit. The Takahashi distillery has been making authentic rice shochu since 1900.
It is one of only four brands in Japan that can display a geographic indication of production, similar to a European PDO – protected designation of origin.
To create this rice wine, a ginjo yeast shochu is distilled at low temperatures with a rice shochu to create a clear wine with a mild, smooth finish. Takahashi hakutake gin shiro is best served chilled and sipped alongside sushi and sashimi.
Ingredients: Water, rice, rice koji.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dark and dry place.
