Sea Sisters Limited Edition Cockles, 112g

Description

Sea Sisters cockles are preserved in chilli-infused olive oil. The subtle heat is a great match for the delicate shellfish. Serve them with salted crisps and tangy pickles.

The cockles are hand gathered from the sandy beds of Penclawdd, Wales. Inside the heart-shaped shells are small morsels of flesh. They are known for their firm texture and sweet-salty flavour.

Eat the cockles straight from the tin as part of a ‘seacuterie’ board. They’re delicious with crackers and crusty bread. Add a squeeze of lemon and some parsley, if you’re feeling fancy. The chilli-infused olive oil adds a little heat to each bite.

Tinned cockles are a tasty addition to pasta and seafood stews. You can use them as a substitute for clams. Try adding them to Spanish rice dishes like paella and arroz caldoso.

Sea Sisters colourful tins are 100% recyclable.

Note: Cockles may contain traces of sand.

Store in a cool, dry place. Once open, refrigerate and consume within two days.

About Sea Sisters

Sea Sisters began as a lockdown kitchen project for Charlotte Dawe and Angus Cowen. Now, they operate a craft cannery in West Dorset. They call their award-winning tinned seafood ‘British conservas’. This is the name given to high quality tinned seafood in Spain and Portugal. Passionate about sustainability, they work with fisheries that use low impact fishing methods.
