S&B Golden Curry Sauce Mix, 92g

Description

S&B golden curry sauce mix dissolves in hot water to create an authentic Japanese curry sauce. Flavoured with curry powder and spices, this mild curry sauce has a complex flavour and warming heat. Serve it with breaded chicken, pork or prawns that have been fried until golden and crispy. Japanese curry is traditionally enjoyed with steamed white rice and tsukemono (pickled vegetables).

Use S&B curry sauce to make katsu fries for your next party or movie night. Drizzle the sauce over hot chips or sweet potato wedges and garnish with spring onion, pickled ginger and finely chopped coriander. Or you can try this with Togarashi Tofu Curry Ramen.

To prepare the curry sauce:

  1. Stir-fry a sliced onion in oil in a large saucepan on medium heat for approximately five minutes.
  2. Add water, chopped carrot and potato and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer until ingredients are tender, approximately 15 minutes.
  3. Turn the heat off, break S&B Golden Curry Mix into pieces and add them to the saucepan. Stir until the sauce is completely melted. Simmer for approximately five minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Serve hot over rice and katsu.

Each S&B packet contains five servings of curry sauce.
