Plowboys BBQ 'Yardbird' Rub, 397g
Description
The Plowboys BBQ ‘Yardbird’ rub is the only thing you need to season chicken for your barbecue this summer. The rub is a balanced offering of sweet and salty, with just enough chilli to add a pleasant hum of heat.
Plowboys BBQ started in 2001 as a competition team called Pork Pullin Plowboys. The team’s unique barbecue rubs gained recognition right from the start, and it wasn’t long before the Pork Pullin Plowboys were winning awards for their rubs as well as championship titles! In 2013, the team opened their first restaurant in Missouri – and Plowboys BBQ found its current form.
Rub the ‘Yardbird’ spice blend into chicken wings and drumsticks at least an hour before your barbecue, and baste with your favourite barbecue sauce during cooking to keep them moist. Or season chicken breasts right before grilling for a flavourful coating.
Despite its status as a chicken seasoning, ‘Yardbird’ also makes a great partner for pork ribs and chops. Or use with prawns and other seafood as a milder alternative to Cajun seasonings. Learn more in our guide to choosing the best BBQ rubs.
Ingredients: salt, sugar, spices (including celery), chilli pepper, paprika, dehydrated garlic & onion, mustard flour, less than 2% calcium stearate (E470) to prevent caking. Allergens are listed in bold.
