Description

Organic country-style miso is slightly sweet, with added texture of whole rice grains. It gives dishes a real hit of flavour, with a stronger umami richness than everyday miso. Use it in meat marinades, miso soups and umami-rich broths. Made from organic soybean and Japanese rice, this miso is fermented for longer than standard varieties - for 9 months - giving each batch a dark golden colour. 

With a bold, salty taste and sweet undertones, this miso paste is excellent paired with red meat, aubergines and peppers. You can also use it to make miso soup, however it’ll have more texture than smoother soups thanks to the whole grains of rice.
