Olio Guglielmi IGP Puglia Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 500ml

Description

Olio Guglielmi IGP Puglia oil is a premium extra virgin olive oil produced in sun-soaked southern Italy. Vivid green with a golden hue, it is made from specially selected olives which are cold-pressed immediately after the harvest to preserve their flavour. It tastes fantastic drizzled over griddled aubergine or white bean crostini.

IGP stands for Indicazione Geografica Protetta (Protected Geographical Indication), a mark of origin assigned to products of a certain quality or reputation dependent on their geographical origin. In simple terms, it means that this oil is produced in Puglia to the very highest standard using locally grown olives.

IGP Puglia olive oil has a well-balanced, medium-intense flavour that instantly elevates a simple salad or pasta dish. It has the typical bitter and spicy notes you expect from oils from this region and the fresh aroma of cut grass, tomato and artichoke. Try drizzling it over burrata or use it to make sarde ripiene, a Pugliese dish of baked sardines stuffed with breadcrumbs, parsley and pecorino cheese. Anoint the fish with oil before serving with wedges of lemon.
