Maison Marc Malossol Cornichons are big, crunchy French gherkins with a gentler bite than the smaller, sharp cornichons you may know. They are grown, hand-picked and packed by Maison Marc in Chemilly-sur-Yonne, Burgundy, where the family has been making cornichons since 1923. 

“Malossol” means lightly salted, and that tells you a lot. These are less sour, a little sweeter, and scented with dill, garlic, bay leaf and mustard seed. They have enough vinegar to wake up a sandwich, but not so much that they steal the whole plate.
