Kalios Greek Oak Honey, 250g
Description
Sweeten pastries and hot drinks with Kalios Greek oak honey. As the name suggests, it has a distinctive woody taste. It might remind you of the nutty flavour of marron glacé.
The honey is produced in the mountains of the central Peloponnese. It’s a delicious addition to your breakfast table. You can add it to oatmeal or spoon it over fruit and yoghurt. We like to spread it thickly on crumpets and toasted sourdough.
Use oak honey in this recipe for honey and olive oil cookies.
Oak honey works well in savoury recipes, too. Use it to make a tangy dressing for a goat’s cheese salad. Or, mix with olive oil and mustard to glaze grilled meat.
Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight.
