Sherry Vinegar

Sherry Vinegar

Sherry vinegar, originating from the Jerez region of Spain, has a robust and complex flavour.

Made from fermented sherry, it is aged in wooden casks, allowing it to develop its distinct taste which balances acidity and sweetness.

Its complexity makes it a great choice to enliven and balance a wide range of dishes.

It shines in a tangy dressing for salads, a marinade for meats and vegetables, and a zingy finish for sauces.

Sherry vinegar is a key ingredient in Spanish cuisine in particular, where its acidity provides a lift for slow-cooked meat stews. It can be reduced down to a glaze, pairs beautifully with walnut oil in a salad dressing, and is essential for gazpacho.
