It is a popular grain in Middle Eastern cooking and is often eaten in much the same way as rice. Enjoy whole freekeh in pilafs, salads, soups, stews or even stuffing. As a general guideline use one part freekeh to two parts water when cooking. Bring to the boil, then lower to a simmer and cook for around 20 minutes or until tender.
