What is a Chef’s Press? 

Designed by Chef Bruce Hill while he was working in a tiny kitchen of Bix Restaurant in San Francisco. The stainless steel weights increase the area of your food in contact with the pan. The result: your quickest sear yet and even browning. Plus, chemical changes that translate to flavour. 

Made in Sheffield

Bruce Hill has recently partnered with one of Sheffield's historic steelworks to make the Chef's Press in the UK; famously the home of stainless steel cutlery. Spot the iconic 'made in Sheffield' stamp on your new Chef's Press. All presses purchased from June 2026 are made in Sheffield.
