The Tatung Premium Stainless Steel Rice Cooker TAC-11RM is a generous 11-cup cooker made in Taiwan. Its indirect heating system cooks rice evenly, then switches automatically to keep-warm mode. The simple cook/warm switch is pleasingly direct: add measured rice and water, press once, and leave it to work.
This is also a useful cooker for soups, porridge, steaming, braising and slow stews. The stainless steel inner and outer pots feel reassuringly sturdy, while the steam plate lets you cook vegetables, fish or dumplings above the water. At 4 litres, it suits family meals, shared tables and weekend batch cooking.
