Sarah Petherick Light Horn Egg Spoons, Set of 4

Description

This set of light horn egg spoons is a unique and eye-catching addition to your breakfast table. Made from natural horn, each spoon is polished to a high-shine finish and features a sleek rosewood handle. According to age-old tradition, a horn egg spoon is the best spoon to eat a boiled egg with as it doesn't taint the flavour. The slightly pointed tip is great for getting the last bits out of the shell.

Each piece is individually hand carved and finished by highly skilled craftsmen. The tableware is made using waste materials: rosewood off-cuts from a furniture maker and water buffalo horn that would otherwise be discarded and incinerated. Due to the natural material of the product, some pieces may have natural markings - each one is unique.

Not dishwasher safe.

About Sarah Petherick

Inspired by her mother’s collection of antique silver spoons, Sarah designed and launched a range of horn cutlery with British hallmarked silver. It went on to win an award for 'Outstanding Design’ presented by the British Interior Design Association in May 2003. Sarah uses 3D models, rather than drawings, to design and refine her pieces so she can visualise them in real space.
