Sarah Petherick Black and White Horn Chopsticks, 26cm

These handcrafted chopsticks will look beautiful on any dinner table. Made from smooth, polished wood and natural horn, they are an eye-catching alternative to lacquered wood or plastic chopsticks. Use these beautiful chopsticks to eat zingy rice noodle salads or wok-fried chicken with lemongrass and garlic.

Each piece is individually hand carved and finished by highly skilled craftsmen in Vietnam. The tableware is made using waste materials: rosewood off-cuts from a furniture maker and water buffalo horn that would otherwise be discarded and incinerated. Due to the natural material of the product, some pieces may have natural markings - each one is unique.

Not dishwasher safe.

Inspired by her mother’s collection of antique silver spoons, Sarah designed and launched a range of horn cutlery with British hallmarked silver. It went on to win an award for 'Outstanding Design’ presented by the British Interior Design Association in May 2003. Sarah uses 3D models, rather than drawings, to design and refine her pieces so she can visualise them in real space.
