Netherton Foundry Spun Iron Heavy Duty Skillet

Description

Netherton Foundry’s spun iron skillet is great for high heat cooking. Use the heavy duty pan to cook your favourite steaks. It gives them the perfect char and superb caramelisation.

This impressive skillet was designed for Christian Stevenson, also known as DJ BBQ. You might have seen him using Netherton Foundry pans on ITV’s Good Morning recently.

If you need a pan that can handle serious heat, then look no further. This iron skillet is ideal for rendering fat and crisping poultry skin. It will quickly become your go-to pan for chops and steaks.

Each skillet is pre-seasoned with flax oil for a natural non-stick finish. You can use it on open fires and all kinds of hobs, including induction. The oak handle covers are removable so you can use it in the oven, too.

Spun iron is lighter than cast iron but with the same patina-building qualities. It becomes more non-stick over time. It’s extremely durable and easy to clean.

Available in two sizes:

  • 10” (25cm)

  • 12” (30cm)

About Netherton Foundry

The Netherton Foundry is a family company based in Shropshire – home of the 18th and 19th century ironmasters. Their pans are made from 99.1% pure iron and they use locally sourced materials wherever possible – the oak that makes the pan handles is British, and the flax seasoning oil comes from Sussex. Experienced local craftsmen use traditional manufacturing methods to bring you high quality cookware that gets better over time.
