Netherton Foundry 4 Piece Copper Utensil Set on Wooden Board with Rail

Description

Netherton Foundry’s 4-piece copper utensil set is absolutely stunning. Handmade in Shropshire, the tools have copper bodies and iron handles. You can use them with all kinds of iron cookware.

The set contains:

  • Spatula - Also known as a turner or flipper. The wide blade slides underneath food for effortless lifting and turning. Use it to flip steaks or lift fried eggs onto your plate. The blade is slightly flexible - ideal for delicate fish fillets.
  • Ladle - For scooping, pouring and serving. The bowl is not too deep so it can be used in standard pans and casseroles. It’s perfect for serving soups, stews and custard.
  • Skimmer - A sturdy straining spoon with a flat, perforated bowl. It’s perfectly angled to skim liquids and remove foods from hot oil or water. Use it to strain peas or transfer a poached egg from pan to plate.
  • Palette knife - A must-have baking tool with a thin, flat blade. Use it to ice cakes, spread fillings and lift cookies from baking sheets. The blade is slightly flexible so you can also use it to turn food in the pan.

The hanging rail is a stylish storage solution for your utensils. It’s handmade and comes with everything you need to mount it on your wall. The rail is made from iron and seasoned with flax oil.

This utensil set is presented in a box on a wooden board. It’s a fantastic gift for birthdays, weddings and housewarmings.

Not dishwasher safe. After use, clean with warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. Store in a dry, airy place. Over time a greenish patina may develop on a copper surface. This can be removed with copper cleaner and a soft cloth. After removal, rinse with water and dry thoroughly.

The iron handles must be thoroughly dried to prevent rust. We suggest coating the handles with a thin layer of flax oil or beeswax to keep them in good condition.

About Netherton Foundry

The Netherton Foundry is a family company based in Shropshire – home of the 18th and 19th century ironmasters. Their pans are made from 99.1% pure iron and they use locally sourced materials wherever possible – the oak that makes the pan handles is British, and the flax seasoning oil comes from Sussex. Experienced local craftsmen use traditional manufacturing methods to bring you high quality cookware that gets better over time.
