Lebkuchen-Schmidt Traditional Nuremberg Stollen with Marzipan, 500g

Description

Lebkuchen-Schmidt’s Nuremberg stollen is studded with marzipan. Its fruity flavour will transport you to a bustling German Christmas market.

Stollen is a traditional fruit bread enjoyed at Christmastime. Its loaf shape is said to resemble the baby Jesus swaddled in blankets. Presented in a decorative box, it’s a lovely gift for friends and family.

Stollen consists of a fine yeast dough enriched with warming spices. There are juicy raisins and pieces of sweet, nutty marzipan that melts in your mouth. The cake is finished with a generous dusting of icing sugar.

Serve slices of stollen with tea and coffee after dinner. It’s also delicious with a cup of mulled wine.

Cut into slices using a sharp serrated knife. For best results, use a sawing movement and little pressure.
