We swear by chazuke to help us recover the morning after a sake-fuelled evening, and also enjoy nori seaweed chazuke to soothe for poorly tummies.
The tasty seasoning mix blends crunchy rice crackers with strips of dried nori seaweed, and umami-rich kelp. Traditionally green tea or dashi stock would be poured over the seasoned rice – and this seasoning includes green tea powder for that extra boost.
You can also use the packet simply to season cooked rice, and without adding the hot water, like furikake. Though use just a quarter of a packet per serving.
