Fabbri Candied Strawberries in Syrup, 600g
Description
Fabbri candied strawberries in syrup are a luxuriously sweet topping for ice cream and cheesecake. The whole strawberries are preserved in a heavy sugar syrup.
A spoon of strawberries in syrup is great for livening up a bowl of yoghurt or porridge. The semi-candied strawberries are wonderfully firm after they have been candied, so hold their shape stirred them into cocktails for an intense fruity hit.
Fabbri started life as Premiata Distilleria G. Fabbri in 1905. Gennaro Fabbri was inspired by the demi-glacé Amarena cherries in syrup that his wife, Rachele, used to make. The cherries are now Fabbri’s flagship product, but the company turned their expertise to wild strawberries and gourmet sauces for cocktails and desserts. Fabbri are still family owned by Genarro’s great-grandchildren – Andrea, Nicola, Paulo & Umberto.
Ingredients: strawberries, glucose syrup, sugar, strawberry juice (3%), water, acid citric acid, vegetable concentrate (carrot, sweet potato, apple, radish, cherry), natural flavourings. Strawberries used: 59,5g for 100g of finished product.
