Essential Cuisine premier red wine jus is a meaty base for homemade gravy. A blend of aromatic beef stock and Bordeaux-style wine come together to create this glossy jus. Use the concentrated red wine jus as a base for reductions and sauces, or add it to your homemade peppercorn sauce and serve with steak. We love serving this red wine jus with sausages and mash, or adding it to beef casseroles for a richer flavour.

Follow these instructions for preparing your red wine jus:

  • Whisk or stir 125g of premier red wine jus concentrate into 1 litre of warm water in a saucepan.
  • Bring to the boil, stirring constantly and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

This tub will make up to 8 litres of red wine jus.
