San Marcos Salsa Pico De Gallo is a classic Mexican recipe which takes its name from the Mexican for ‘rooster’s beak’, apparently because people traditionally ate this chopped salsa by pinching their finger and thumb together and ‘pecking’ at the dish.
Try it with tacos, burritos and fajitas, or serve simply with tortilla chips and dips.
