The Smurfs were invented by Belgian cartoonist Pierre "Peyo" Culliford. Originally a comic series, the Smurfs were turned into an animated TV series in 1981. The tin is shaped like the red and white mushroom houses found in their magical village.

For this gift tin, Neuhaus has created Smurf-shaped pralines. Smurf fans will recognise Papa Smurf and Smurfette. They are made with Belgian milk chocolate and crunchy cookie pieces. Popping candy adds a touch of tongue-fizzing fun, perfect for celebrations.

Fast forward to 1912, Jean’s grandson swapped medicine for an indulgent chocolate centre, inventing what we now know and love as the praline.
