Parboil your potatoes, drain them well and give the pan a firm shake. Coat with oil or goose fat, add the seasoning generously, then roast until deeply golden. It is also very good scattered over root vegetable traybakes or rubbed onto chicken skin before roasting.

Goat Rodeo Goods makes pickles, preserves, condiments and seasonings with plenty of crunch, sharpness and punch. The aim is simple: make basic food banging!

Founders Kat and Lucy work from a farm in the wild west of Scotland. The idea began with surplus crops from their farm and nearby growers. Rather than let good vegetables end up on the compost heap, they turned them into pickles and preserves.

Everything is developed in-house, then made by hand in small batches. Expect cucumber pickles, pickled onions, spice blends, rubs and flavoured salts.
