The heat of the tealight candle will melt your sliced cheese in minutes and you can use the little wooden spatula to help pour it over your chosen accompaniments. If you can’t get raclette (the popular semi-hard Swiss cheese), you can use any cheese that melts easily. Slice it thinly to speed up the melting process.

Enjoy your gooey, bubbling cheese with the traditional raclette accompaniments. These include cooked potatoes, crusty bread, charcuterie and vegetables (raw or lightly steamed). Something pickled, like pearl onions and cornichons, are a great addition because their vinegar tang cuts through the richness of the molten cheese.
