Large Green Olive Shaped Candle, 6.5cm

The Large Green Olive Shaped Candle from DOIY is a small, funny table object with a very clear point of view. It looks like a deep green olive, complete with a red core, and it lands somewhere between candle, conversation starter, and the thing people notice before they sit down.

• Decorative candle shaped like an olive
• Deep green with striking red centre
• Part of DOIY’s Olivia collection
• Approximate stated size: 6.5 cm
• Designed by Barcelona-based brand DOIY

Meet the maker: DOIY

DOIY started in 2008 at a kitchen table in Barcelona, where a Franco-Spanish couple called Élodie and Jaime began making prototypes with their own hands. They carried those first pieces to trade shows on a shoestring budget, hoping someone would notice. Today, Élodie and Jaime design everything themselves, start to finish. Their whole idea is simple: take something you already use every day, then twist it until it makes you smile. A pizza cutter becomes a tiny fixie bicycle, complete with two spinning wheels and its own little stand.
