Description

La Sablésienne Savoury Tomato Rosemary Biscuits are little French savoury shortbreads made for the aperitif table. They have the crumbly snap you expect from sablé biscuits, but with a savoury turn: tomato powder, rosemary, butter, and a pinch of salt.

They are made by Biscuiterie La Sablésienne in Sablé-sur-Sarthe, where the local shortbread tradition goes back centuries. These are the kind of biscuits I’d put out before dinner with olives, cheese, and a cold glass of something. Small enough to keep reaching for, but with enough flavour to hold their own.

  • Tomato and rosemary savoury shortbread biscuits
  • Made in Sablé-sur-Sarthe, France
  • Crisp, buttery, and gently herby
  • Good with cheese, olives, or apéritifs

Serve with a soft goat’s cheese, aged Comté, tapenade, or a few slices of saucisson. Once opened, keep them in an airtight container and enjoy within a few days.
