Nori Sheets

Nori is a type of edible seaweed, used particularly in Japanese and East Asian cooking.

It is a type of red algae, dried and processed into thin, paper-like nori sheets. It has a distinctive umami flavour and a delicate texture.

In Japanese cuisine, nori is used to create sushi and onigiri. Beyond sushi, nori is also used to wrap rice balls, flavour broths, and as a garnish.

Rich in essential nutrients, nori seaweed is a notable source of vitamins, including B-complex vitamins, minerals like iodine, calcium, and iron, and it is notably high in protein for a plant-based food.

Additionally, it contains a unique type of dietary fibre that has been associated with digestive health benefits.
