Description
Use these roasted seaweed sheets to make restaurant-quality sushi at home. Known as nori in Japan, roasted seaweed is dark green in colour and has a salty, savoury flavour. These seaweed sheets are ideal for making maki (small sushi rolls with one or two fillings) and temaki (larger cone-shaped hand-rolls).

You can also use nori to make onigiri - triangular rice balls that are a popular lunchtime and takeaway snack in Japan. The seasoned rice balls are either completely wrapped in nori or decorated with one wide strip, making them easier to transport and eat on the go.
With its umami-rich, seaweed flavour, nori is also a great garnish for your favourite Japanese dishes. Try passing the sheets over an open flame to make them crispy and then crumble them over ramen, salads, noodles and rice bowls.
