A traditional wooden tart press helps you make perfect pastry cases without rolling out multiple sheets of pastry. Just drop a scoop of pastry dough into each indent on your muffin or cupcake tin, dip the tart press in flour and press it into the pan to form the perfect mini pastry case. This wooden tart tamper is the canapé maker and patissier's best friend. It is double ended to fit most tart or muffin trays.
The tart press is 20.2cm high. The small end is for pastry cases is 3cm diameter at its base and 4cm diameter for the top of the tart. And the larger end is 4.5cm at the base and 7cm diameter for the top of the tart. If your pastry case is far larger than the press, just gently roll the press around the edges to form a perfect shell.
