Sous Chef x Amy Poon Online Masterclass

Description

An exclusive LIVE Chinese steaming masterclass, with Amy Poon.

Join us in this hour-long online session, hosted via Zoom.

Founder of Poon's London and daughter of renowned Chinese chef-restaurateur Bill Poon, Amy Poon is excited to share the secrets of Chinese steaming.

"Steaming is a wonderfully gentle and unobtrusive way to cook and steamed dishes are perhaps my favourite things to eat. The current trend for big, bold flavours, maximal seasoning and taste bud-punching sensations can sometimes be overwhelming.

I invite you to experience a more delicate way of eating, an understated way to savour and taste, produced with the underrated power of steam.

In this workshop, I will be cooking a Cantonese classic, steamed whole fish with ginger and spring onions and showing you options for a steaming set-up."

In this hour-long masterclass, Amy will guide us through the fundamental principles of Chinese steaming. And demonstrate a simple steamed fish recipe.
