Hot and spicy instant potato vermicelli noodles make a quick hot lunch at work or easy weeknight supper. The sweet potato vermicelli come with a hot beef & chilli bean soup, and a seasoning sachet.

Sweet potato vermicelli are also called glass noodles, because they go almost see-through after cooking. The texture is also very different from wheat or egg noodles – instead of retaining a firm bite, glass noodles take on a much softer jelly-like consistency.

To make the noodles, add the vermicelli and all sachets to a large bowl. Add 500-600ml of just boiled water, cover, and leave for 5-6 minutes. Mix the noodles with a fork or chopsticks to check they’re cooked through, then they’re ready to eat!

You can use the instant noodles as a base for a larger meal at home. Top the hot and spicy noodle soup with stir fried vegetables, a boiled egg, and slices of cooked meat.
