Sarah Petherick Wooden Honey Dipper

Description

With this smart wooden honey dipper, you can scoop honey from the jar without creating a sticky mess on your kitchen counter. Made from polished rosewood, the dipper has a rounded end which is carved to resemble the striped body of a honey bee.

Lower the striped end into the honey jar and slowly rotate as you lift it out to prevent any drips. When you hold the dipper over your food, the honey will start to drip again. Rotate it again to stop the flow - no more mess at the breakfast table!

Each piece is individually hand carved and finished by highly skilled craftsmen in Vietnam. The tableware is made using waste materials: rosewood off-cuts from a furniture maker and water buffalo horn that would otherwise be discarded and incinerated. Due to the natural material of the product, some pieces may have natural markings - each one is unique.

Not dishwasher safe.

About Sarah Petherick

Inspired by her mother’s collection of antique silver spoons, Sarah designed and launched a range of horn cutlery with British hallmarked silver. It went on to win an award for 'Outstanding Design’ presented by the British Interior Design Association in May 2003. Sarah uses 3D models, rather than drawings, to design and refine her pieces so she can visualise them in real space.
