Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow Chilli Oil

Description

Chiu chow chilli oil is a famously ‘addictive’ textured chilli oil, with a loyal global following. Made from dried and salted chilli peppers, soy sauce, sesame oil and garlic, it packs an appealingly complex, savoury, piquant hit and subtle crunch. It is a speciality of Guangdong province, named after the city of Chiu Chow (also known as Teochow) where it is served as a condiment with meals. Serve it as a dipping sauce with rice dishes, noodles and boiled wonton dumplings, add it as a flavouring to stir-fries or stir it into Chinese braised dishes and soups.

Lee Kum Kee was founded by a cook from Guangdong village who discovered oyster sauce in 1888. Known for the range and quality of its Chinese sauces, the company is now a global brand, widely used in Chinese restaurants around the world.

Ingredients: Soybean Oil, Dehydrated Garlic 6%, Dried Chilli Peppers 5%, Salted Chilli Peppers 5%, Soy Sauce (Water, Salt, Soybeans, Wheat Flour), Sesame Oil, Salt, Sugar, Capsicum Oleoresin, Flavour Enhancers (E361, E627). Allergens are listed in bold.
