Japanese Seki Gyuto Knife

Description

This Japanese Seki Gyuto knife is similar in function to a western-style chef’s knife, the Gyuto is versatile, but particularly useful for cutting meat and chopping. ‘Gyuto’ translates to ‘beef sword’. The shape and size of the blade with its tapered tip makes it suited to a ‘rolling’ action: the speedy French method of chopping where the tip of the knife remains on the board. The elegant black handle is curved for comfort. The 18cm blade is made from molybdenum Japanese steel, with a Rockwell scale of Härte HRC 55. Easy to handle, you’ll find yourself reaching for this knife again and again. Made in Seki City, Japan: world-renowned for their knife production, with a tradition dating back almost 800 years.

The Japanese Seki Gyuto Knife is available in 2 sizes:

  • 18cm
  • 21cm

Not dishwasher safe.

Do not use on any bones, as this may damage the blade. For culinary use only. Clean as soon as possible after use and dry immediately.

Only available for sale to over 18s.
