This spiced sugar is loaded with aromatic spices: cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cardamom and green anise. The scented sugar is delicious when incorporated into almost any baking. Dust over biscuits, use it to caramelise nuts and even add a pinch to sweeten savoury fruit sauces, such as apple sauce to go with duck or pork. The sugar is also great sprinkled over yoghurt, stirred into crumble toppings and for caramelising meat while roasting.
