About Sous Chef
Sous Chef is the shop for people who love cooking! We are the place-to-be online for cooks and chefs – with ingredients, equipment, tableware and gifts inspired by leading restaurants and international food.
We are based in north London with a warehouse full of fabulous things, ready for next day delivery. Sous Chef ships to thousands of customers each month, including some of the top Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe. Sous Chef’s innovative product range has been widely featured in the press, including the Observer Food Monthly, Vogue, The Independent, Sunday Telegraph, Evening Standard, Radio Times, Stylist, Shortlist, BBC Good Food, Delicious, Olive, Good Housekeeping and Homes & Gardens magazines.
I started Sous Chef together with my husband Nick in 2012. Working in a Michelin-starred kitchen, I had been cooking with amazing ingredients and wanted to make them available more widely. So Sous Chef was born. Four years on we are still an independent family business. Every month we add hundreds of new products, inspired by leading restaurant menus, chefs we speak to, and our travels to sourcing fairs around the world.

Discovery – try a new cuisine with our convenient cookbook and ingredient sets; taste the difference between the smoky-sweetness of a guajillo and the citrus heat of a piquin in our chilli selection; infuse cocktails or teas with our edible flowers; make authentic kimchi with Korean gochugaru chilli powder.
Provenance – we source with care from producers who share our passion for flavour and quality. Our peppers, for example, are sourced from a single harvest and region, enabling you to enjoy the unique flavour of that terroir.
Excitement – bring theatre to your table with a Himalayan salt plate; try your hand at sperification with our molecular ingredients or infuse your dishes with smoke – let your creativity run wild!
Knowledge – we’ve tasted the ingredients, tested the equipment, served guests with our tableware and cooked from our cookbooks. We have the best jobs in the world! So if you need advice just give us a ring – we’re always happy to help.
Service – we work hard to bring you the best possible service. Our small team packs parcels with tremendous care, and they are almost always sent the day the order is received. We know occasionally things can go wrong with an order, and if so we can often make it right by the very next day.
