The large green leaves are pickled with soy sauce and sesame seeds to make a popular pickle that’s almost a salad in its own right. Lightly fry some takana before stirring through hot rice, serve as a side dish with steak, or use to garnish a bowl of ramen.

Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
