Description

White truffle, tuber magnatum pico, brings a delicate, earthy flavour reminiscent of woody undergrowth. White truffle is distinctive for its very pale brown flesh with white marbling - versus the much darker black and summer truffles.

When white truffle is cooked to preserve it, the delicate flavour is reduced. And so it's best to use the preserved white truffle slices as a beautiful garnish for dishes - such as stunning beef carpaccio canapes, or truffled scrambled egg - and the add a drizzle of white truffle oil to boost and intensify the flavours. 

These white truffle slices are produced in Acqualagna, the home of Italy's truffle market, by Marini & Azzolini who have been collecting and producing truffle products for over 50 years.
