Grown in Colombia - and benefiting from the fertile Amazon rainforest - these powerful chillies are yellow in colour, and harvested before being fully ripe. They have a subtle acidity similar to Tabasco chillies.
Ranking between 50,000 and 70,000 on the Scoville Heat Unit, these hot chillies release their flavour during cooking - if you want your dish hot, add the peppers in at the start of cooking. Alternatively, add right at the end for a less pungent heat. We love using these peppers when making chilli con carne and rich beef stews.
