Silk Gel, 100g

Description

Silk gel gives your homemade ice cream and fruit sorbets a smooth mouthfeel. Adding a small amount of silk gel to your fruit or custard base produces a silkier final texture and consistency which is easier to scoop and serve.

As well as using it in ice cream, silk gel can be added to whipped creams to help stabilise, and sponge batters to improve the texture.

Follow the below instructions for using silk gel:

  • 3-5g per litre of base mix. 
  • Silk gel is very easy to use and can be easily dispersed into a warm liquid base. 
  • If using a cold base, the gel should first be mixed with a small amount of hot water then added.

Ingredients: Mono and diglycerides of fatty acids (E471), sorbitol (E420), flavouring.

Storage: Please store in dry, cool conditions and not in direct sunlight.
