This professional natural egg yolk yellow food colouring is perfect for sweet and savoury foods alike. It’s water-soluble, but the powdered consistency of the colouring means that it doesn’t further dilute wet mixtures.
The natural yellow colouring, extracted from turmeric, is perfect for enhancing the colour of a velvet sponge cake. Also use it to impart a delicate yellow hue to blancmanges, macarons, meringues and even pasta dough. The natural yellow food colour can also be mixed with a little water, and used to paint patterns onto royal icing when decorating cakes.
Use 0.2-4g of natural egg yolk yellow food colouring per kilo of other ingredients, depending on the desired intensity. If adding to a wet mixture, dilute in a small quantity of warm water first.
