P & T Chang-e Forever osmanthus oolong tea is brimming with the aromas of the Orient. A mild and slightly tart oolong tea balances the exotic, musky aromas of osmanthus flower blossoms – one of China’s ten sacred flowers. The result is an intensely fragrant tea with complex layers of apricot, melon and dried fruit set against a background of sweet milk and lily notes.
To enjoy your cup of Chang-e Forever to the fullest, infuse two teaspoons of tea in 250ml of water at 80°C. Steep in a small teapot for 3-5 minutes, or until the oolong tea leaves have unfurled.
The osmanthus oolong tea is also very well suited to the Gong Fu style of tea making. This is where the tea leaves are repeatedly steeped in small batches, starting from as little as 5 seconds and increasing the time with each steep by around 10 seconds until the tea leaves no longer impart their flavour.
