Set of three professional non-stick savarin moulds. The individual savarin moulds are made from carbon steel, with a high quality layered non-stick coating.
The savarin mould was invented in Paris by pâtissiers the Julien brothers in the mid-1800s, and is now almost exclusively used for the world famous dessert Baba au Rhum or rum baba. Small yeast based cakes are soaked in rum syrup and decorated with Chantilly cream and fresh fruit. Alain Ducasse has adopted the rum baba as his signature dessert - served throughout his Michelin starred restaurants worldwide.
Suitable for use in ovens up to 250°C. Use only wooden or rubber utensils as metal utensils may scratch the surface. Not dishwasher safe.
