Netherton Foundry Spun Iron Bread Baking Cloche


Use the Netherton Foundry spun iron bread baking cloche for baking loaves of bread with a crunchy crust. When baking anything from country loaves to sourdough, the cloche helps retain steam, giving your bread a crackling crust. 

This heavy duty lid comes with a large baking and serving tray. The flat tray is ideal for baking sourdough. When moving bread dough from proving basket to baking dish, you want it to keep as much shape as possible so that it has an excellent rise. A flat tray is easier to place the dough on, meaning it’ll better keep its shape.

How to care for the bread baking cloche

Iron cookware can withstand extremely high temperatures (up to 300ºC) and is a pure, simple metal which is easy to care for. This baking cloche comes pre-seasoned with Sussex flax oil for a natural non-stick finish.

Hand wash only, dry thoroughly after washing.

If you need to scrub, use a plastic bristle brush in hot soapy water, but avoid anything harsher. Avoid detergents completely.
