With the Mermaid Silver anodised 8” square cake tin, you can make fruit cakes and golden sponges that have a perfect rise. The high sides let you make one large cake, which can then be sliced to create a perfectly consistent layers. Or slice your square sponge into smaller blocks for more ambitious birthday cake shapes and sculptures. It is loose-bottomed, making it easier to remove the cake from the tin.
Aluminium offers even heat distribution throughout the entire tin, meaning there are no hot or cool spots, producing a consistent bake, every time. This aluminium cake tin has been anodised which hardens the aluminium, making it tougher and resistant to rust and the effects of frequent use.
The bakeware improves with age. Unlike products coated with non-stick (PTFE), which deteriorate with use, frequent use of the Mermaid silver products will enhance their release properties. After each use, the anodised surface captures and retains a microscopic film of lubricant which builds up to form a ‘patina’.This tin is a durable, long lasting piece of bakeware that can be used time and time again.
This square cake tin measures 8" x 8" x3" (20cm x 20cm x 7.5cm)
